Target Score Calculator
Plan toward a weighted practice composite. Enter scores for sections you have completed, leave future sections blank, and choose a target percentage. The planner shows the average percentage needed across remaining weighted sections. This target is not an AP score threshold.
Target Composite Planner
Enter completed section scores and leave remaining sections blank. Choose your practice composite target out of 100. This is a planning target, not a promised AP score.
How to use the result
Several score combinations can reach the same composite. A 10-point improvement in a section worth 40% has a larger overall effect than the same percentage improvement in a section worth 15%. Try realistic combinations and focus on learning from errors, rather than chasing an unsupported 1–5 cutoff.
Worked planning example
Suppose you have 38/55 MCQ marks and want a practice composite of 70%. The completed MCQ contributes about 27.64 weighted points. The other three sections together can contribute up to 60, so the target is mathematically possible. A combination of 5/9 SAQ, 6/7 DBQ and 4/6 LEQ yields about 70.2% overall. The tool searches whole-mark combinations and shows one feasible path; a different combination can also meet the same target.
Enter a zero only if you have completed a section and earned zero points. Leave an unfinished section empty. A target above the maximum still available is reported as impossible. Use the planner for study priorities, then compare actual essay work with a human or official rubric before treating its raw marks as reliable.
