Frequently Asked Questions

Is this my official AP score?

No. It is a weighted composite of the practice points you enter. Only College Board reports official AP scores.

Why is there no predicted 1–5 result?

A composite-to-AP-score boundary is not a universal published constant across every exam form and year. We prefer to show transparent math rather than an unsupported cutoff.

Can I enter a partial exam?

The main calculator needs all four sections. Use the target planner to leave future sections blank.

Are the practice questions official?

No. They are original study prompts. Consult College Board for official sample materials.

Does the 2027 update change weights?

The published overview keeps section weights at 40%, 20%, 25% and 15%. The changes affect the short-answer and long-essay questions. Check the AP History exam updates for 2027 for the latest details.

Do you store my calculator inputs?

The custom score calculator runs in the browser and does not submit section entries to the site server. A contact form submission is different: it sends the name, email and message you enter to the site administrator’s configured mailbox. See the privacy policy.

Can the rubric tool grade my essay?

No. It adds the criteria you select after your own review. It cannot read, interpret or verify your essay. Compare actual writing with current official scoring guidelines and seek teacher feedback for uncertain points.
